Leadership

Jonathan Losos is an internationally renowned scholar in the field of evolutionary biology. His study of the behavioral and evolutionary ecology of lizards has taken him around the globe and firmly established him as a leading international expert on the biodiversity of species.

Dr. Losos is the director of the Living Earth Collaborative and is the William H. Danforth Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Biology at Washington University in Saint Louis. He was at Washington University from 1992 to 2006 and then moved to Harvard University, where he was the Lehner Professor for the Study of Latin America, a professor in organismic and evolutionary biology, and the curator in herpetology at the Museum of Comparative Zoology. He rejoined the Arts & Sciences faculty at Washington University in January 2018.

James W. and Jean L. Davis Professor in Arts and Sciences

Dr. Hu is the Dean of Arts & Sciences at Washington University in Saint Louis. He is also the Lucille P. Markey Distinguished Professor in Arts and Sciences and Professor of Biology and of Earth and of Earth and Planetary Sciences.

Dr. Lohmann  is the President and Director of the Missouri Botanical Garden. Dr. Lohmann is the eighth president of the Garden and the first woman to hold the position. She is also the George Engelmann professor of Botany at  Washington University in Saint Louis.

Dwight Scott is the President and CEO of the Saint Louis Zoo. He currently is on the board of directors of the AZA and the Alliance for Sustainable Wildlife.
