Microbes perform various functions indispensable to organisms or the environment. Research on microbiomes of diverse ecosystems is happening in St. Louis. The Living Earth Collaborative hosts the mDivE symposium to foster interactions and collaborations among researchers working on or interested in this field. Podium presentations will feature speakers sharing their research on the microbiomes of humans, plants, animals, and the environment.  mDivE-STL will be held in person at River Camp, St. Louis Zoo, from noon to 5pm on October 3, 2022.

Co-chairs: Fangqiong Ling and Gautam Dantas

Presenters:
Sharon Deem, DVM, Ph.D., Dipl. ACAM, Director of the Institute for Conservation Medicine, St. Louis Zoo

Liz Mallott, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Biology, Washington University in St. Louis

Podium presentations will showcase research of junior scientists at Washington University in St. Louis, from the School of Medicine, Arts and Sciences, and the Mckelvey School of Engineering. Poster presentation opportunities are available for a limited number. Abstract submissions are open until 9/23.
